Purpose of Pocket Recorder

Pocket Recorder is an Android application designed for recording, playing, organizing and managing audio locally on your device.

Your Responsibility When Recording

You are responsible for ensuring that every recording you make with Pocket Recorder complies with applicable laws and regulations.

Recording and consent laws differ between countries, states, provinces and other jurisdictions. Some locations may require the consent of one participant, while others may require the consent of all participants.

Pocket Recorder does not determine whether a particular recording is lawful and does not provide legal advice.

Your Recordings

You retain ownership of audio recordings created using Pocket Recorder. Pocket Recorder does not claim ownership of your recording content.

You are responsible for the content you create, store, share or otherwise use through the application.

Local Storage

Pocket Recorder is designed primarily around local device storage. Your recordings remain on your device unless you independently choose to copy, export, transfer or otherwise share them.

Data Loss & Backups

Although Pocket Recorder is designed with reliability in mind, no application, operating system, storage device or electronic system can guarantee that data will never be lost, damaged or corrupted.

You should maintain separate backups of recordings that are important, valuable or irreplaceable.

Pocket Recorder Pro

Pocket Recorder may offer additional features through a one-time Pocket Recorder Pro purchase processed through Google Play.

Pro access depends on a valid Google Play purchase entitlement. If a purchase is refunded, revoked, canceled, invalidated or otherwise determined not to provide a valid entitlement, Pro functionality may be disabled.

Recording Recovery

Recording recovery is a Pocket Recorder Pro feature intended to help restore eligible recordings interrupted by application crashes, Android process termination, device shutdown, battery loss or similar events.

Recovery is a best-effort feature and cannot guarantee that every interrupted recording will be successfully restored.

Scheduled Recording

Pocket Recorder may allow you to schedule automatic recording sessions. You are responsible for the schedules you configure and for ensuring that any resulting recordings comply with applicable recording and consent laws.

Scheduled recording may depend on Android permissions, alarm functionality, battery management and device-specific behavior.

Device Compatibility

Android hardware, microphone implementations, battery management and manufacturer-specific software behavior vary between devices.

We do not guarantee identical functionality, audio quality, background behavior or scheduling reliability on every device configuration.

Google Play

Purchases, payment processing, refunds and certain licensing functionality may be provided by Google Play and may also be subject to Google’s applicable terms, policies and procedures.

Prohibited Use

You may not use Pocket Recorder for unlawful activity or in a manner that violates applicable laws, regulations or the rights of other people.

Disclaimer

Pocket Recorder is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, successful recovery of every interrupted recording, compatibility with every Android device, or that the application will satisfy every specific use case.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Pocket Recorder will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the application, including loss of recordings or other locally stored data.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated when Pocket Recorder functionality, legal requirements, platform requirements or business operations change.
