Audio Recordings

Pocket Recorder records audio when recording is initiated by you, or when a scheduled recording configured by you starts.

Audio recordings are stored locally on your Android device. Pocket Recorder does not upload, transmit, analyze, listen to, or store your audio recording content on our servers.

Microphone Access

Pocket Recorder requires microphone access in order to provide audio recording functionality.

Microphone access is used for recording-related functionality, including manual and scheduled recording sessions.

Local Application Data

Pocket Recorder may store application information locally on your device, including settings, recording metadata, markers, favorites, folder structure, scheduled recording configuration and recovery information.

This information is used to provide the application’s features and manage your local recording library.

Pocket Recorder Pro & Purchases

Pocket Recorder offers an optional one-time Pocket Recorder Pro purchase through Google Play.

Limited purchase-related information may be transmitted to our billing verification infrastructure in order to verify your Pro entitlement. This may include:

• Google Play purchase token
• Product identifier
• Purchase and entitlement verification information

Your audio recordings and recording content are never sent to the billing verification server.

Payment information such as credit or debit card numbers is handled by Google Play and is not provided to Pocket Recorder.

Permissions

Depending on your Android version and the features you enable, Pocket Recorder may request permissions or system access necessary for application functionality, including:

• Microphone access
• Notification permission
• Alarms & reminders access for scheduled recording
• Storage or file-related access where required by Android

Permissions are used only for the functionality for which they are requested.

Scheduled Recording

If you enable Scheduled Recording, Pocket Recorder stores your selected schedule locally and may use Android alarm or reminder functionality to start recording at the configured time.

Scheduled recordings occur only according to settings configured by you.

Recording Recovery

Pocket Recorder Pro includes functionality intended to help recover eligible recordings interrupted by events such as application crashes, process termination, battery loss, device shutdown or similar interruptions.

Recovery-related information is managed locally on your device. Recovery is not guaranteed to succeed in every situation.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your audio recordings. We do not sell your recording content.

We do not provide your recordings to advertisers or data brokers.

Limited purchase verification information may be processed by Google Play and our entitlement infrastructure as described above.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your audio recordings remain on your device until you delete them, remove the application’s data, or otherwise remove them from the device.

Local app information can generally be removed by deleting the relevant recordings or clearing/uninstalling Pocket Recorder according to Android functionality.

Purchase verification records may be retained where reasonably necessary to verify entitlement, handle refunds or revocations, prevent fraud, and operate the purchase verification system.

Third-Party Services

Google Play may process purchase and device-related information under Google’s own terms and privacy policies when you download the app, purchase Pocket Recorder Pro, or use Google Play services.

Those services are governed by the policies of their respective providers.

Children

Pocket Recorder is not specifically directed toward children. Users are responsible for using the application in accordance with applicable laws, platform requirements and recording consent requirements.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Pocket Recorder functionality, legal requirements, permissions or third-party integrations change.
