Help with recording, permissions, scheduled recording, Pocket Recorder Pro and recovery.
1. Start Recording
- 1 Open Pocket Recorder.
- 2 Tap the Record button.
- 3 Allow microphone access if Android requests permission.
- 4 Tap Stop when you are finished.
2. Microphone Permission
Pocket Recorder requires microphone permission to record audio.
If recording cannot start, verify microphone access in Android:
Settings → Apps → Pocket Recorder → Permissions → MicrophoneMake sure microphone access is enabled.
3. Scheduled Recording
Pocket Recorder can automatically start recording on selected days and times according to the schedule you configure.
Android may require Pocket Recorder to have access to Alarms & reminders for reliable scheduled execution.
Battery optimization or device manufacturer restrictions may also affect exact scheduling behavior.
4. Pocket Recorder Pro
Pocket Recorder Pro is available as a one-time lifetime purchase.
One purchase. No recurring subscription.
Pro unlocks advanced audio controls, folders and recording recovery.
5. Restore Purchase
If you previously purchased Pocket Recorder Pro through Google Play, use the same Google Play account on your device.
Pocket Recorder can verify your existing entitlement. You should not need to purchase the same lifetime entitlement again.
If restoration fails, check your network connection and confirm that Google Play is signed into the account used for the original purchase.
6. Recovery Center
Recording recovery is available with Pocket Recorder Pro.
Recovery may help restore eligible interrupted recordings after:
- Application crashes
- Android process termination
- Battery loss
- Device shutdown
- Unexpected interruption
Recovery cannot guarantee successful restoration in every case.
7. Where Are My Recordings?
Pocket Recorder stores your audio recordings locally on your Android device.
Pocket Recorder does not upload your audio recordings to our servers.
Use the Library section inside Pocket Recorder to search, play and manage recordings.
8. Folders
Folders are available with Pocket Recorder Pro and can be used to organize recordings inside the application.
Open Library and select the Folders section to access folder functionality.
9. Recording Laws
Recording and consent laws vary between jurisdictions.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Pocket Recorder complies with applicable local laws and for obtaining any consent required before recording.
10. Background Recording
Android may display a persistent notification while recording is active or while background recording functionality is being used.
This helps make the recording state visible and allows Android to manage an active recording session correctly.
11. Audio Settings
Pocket Recorder provides recording configuration options including format, quality and supported advanced controls.
Pocket Recorder Pro may unlock:
- Manual microphone selection
- Sample rate
- Bitrate
- Mono / Stereo
