CamRadar Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CamRadar handles information when you use the CamRadar Android application and related services.
1. Privacy-first operation
CamRadar is designed primarily as a local device discovery and investigation tool. The application uses information made available by Android, your local network, and supported wireless interfaces to provide scanning and device-identification functionality.
2. Information CamRadar may process
Depending on the features you use, CamRadar may locally process technical information such as:
- IP addresses visible on the local network.
- Device names and host names when available.
- Network interface information.
- MAC-related or manufacturer information when exposed by Android or the network.
- Wireless signal-strength information when supported.
- Bluetooth or nearby-device information when the relevant feature is used.
- Network connection state and Wi-Fi information required for scanning.
- Technical app diagnostics required to operate or troubleshoot the application.
3. Android permissions
CamRadar may request Android permissions required for specific scanning features. Depending on Android version and device hardware, these may include permissions related to nearby devices, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, local network access, or location.
Android may require a location-related permission for certain Wi-Fi or Bluetooth discovery APIs even when CamRadar is not using the feature to determine your physical location.
4. Local network scanning
When you initiate a network scan, CamRadar may communicate with devices or addresses accessible from the network to which your phone is connected.
These operations are used to determine whether devices are reachable and to display technical information about the local network environment.
5. Data storage
CamRadar may store application preferences, scan history, device information, purchase-entitlement state, or other application data locally on your Android device where required by enabled features.
Uninstalling the application may remove locally stored application data subject to Android backup and restore behavior.
6. In-app purchases
CamRadar may offer optional paid functionality, subscriptions, or one-time purchases through Google Play.
Payment information is processed by Google Play. CamRadar does not directly receive or store your complete credit-card information. Google may provide CamRadar with transaction or entitlement information necessary to determine whether paid functionality should be available.
7. Third-party services
The application may use services provided by Google or other infrastructure providers when required for distribution, purchases, crash reporting, security, or other enabled application functionality.
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable agreements.
8. Selling personal information
CamRadar does not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
9. Advertising
Unless explicitly introduced in a future version of the application, CamRadar does not require advertising-based tracking for its core device-scanning functionality.
If advertising or additional analytics technology is introduced, this Privacy Policy and the application’s Google Play Data Safety disclosures should be updated accordingly.
10. Security
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect information handled by CamRadar. However, no software, device, wireless network, or data-storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Children’s privacy
CamRadar is not specifically designed for children. We do not knowingly use the application to solicit personal information from children.
12. Your choices
You control whether optional Android permissions are granted. Disabling a permission may prevent the corresponding CamRadar functionality from operating.
You can also remove locally stored application data through Android settings or by uninstalling the application.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as CamRadar evolves, including when new scanning technologies, paid features, analytics providers, or other functionality are introduced.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date when appropriate.
